AIMS Shipping Holds Safety Conference

Manila, Philippines – Aims Shipping, a ship Management Company and one of Crossworld Marine Services Inc.’s clients held another conference last April 3, 2019. The theme of the conference was ‘Embracing Aims Safety Culture for Shipping Excellence’ and was held at the Crossworld Training Area, at Sage House Bldg, Makati City.

AIMS General Manager, Stasinopoulos Michael, and Crew Manager, Maria Zografini, headed the conference with Mr. Michael giving the opening remarks. The focus of the seminar was Safety of crew members both on board.

Among the invited speakers were Capt. Rahul Sapra from P&I Standard Club-Singapore as he talked about the ‘Human Element’ or behaviors that could prevent any personal injury. He also talked about the possible results and liabilities of incurring an injury and more importantly on ways of preventing such incidents.

Also among the speakers during the event was Dr. Kristofrank Bryant Pioquinto from Healthplus Diagnostic Clinic as he talked about the importance of being healthy both mentally and physically. C/E Emmanuel Pascua, Technical Director, detailed Vessel and Operation Safety while Capt. Rene Espinar, Operations Director, discussed Crisis Coping Strategies. At the end of the event AIMS awarded 20 crewmembers with Certificates of Appreciation for their contribution to the company.
