Crossworld Participates In Tradewinds Events

Crossworld Marine Services Inc. participates in TradeWinds events in Japan and China. The first one was held in Shanghai where Crossworld Human Resources Director Rochelle Reyes was sent to represent the company. That event was held in September at the JW Marriott Tomorrow Square where Crossworld was one of the sponsors.

 

TradeWinds which brought together 200 high profile industry experts tackled insightful ideas about the industry. Among the topics during the event were: ‘A review of Global Macroeconomic Context of Maritime Trade’, ‘Sustainable Shipping and Future Fuels 2020’, and ‘Changing Landscape of Ship Finance and ‘Shipping Investment Opportunities’’.

Another TradeWinds event was later held in November, this time in Tokyo, Japan. It was held in Conrad Hotel and Ms. Reyes was again sent to represent Crossworld during the event. It was the first time that the ‘Land of the rising Sun’ hosted the event.

TradeWinds has been holding shipowner forums since 2011. The first one was held in Athens and later on to different parts of the world including Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, and New York. TradeWinds events usually feature the industry’s most prominent personalities giving their views on shipping and their outlook in the industry.

Among the speakers in the Tokyo TradeWinds forum were Yoshikazui Kawagoe, Senior Managing Executive Officer & CTO of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ichiro Kono, Vice President, Ship & Offshore Structure Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Paul Pathy, President and CEO of the Fednav Group., and Martin Crawford-Brunt, Rightship CEO.
