Crossworld triples presence in the Philippines with new Cebu office

With its locals growing up in its cluster of 168 islands surrounded by the seas, Cebuanos take to water as naturally as any seafarer would.

It is for this reason - among many others - that Cebu was a shoo-in site for Crossworld Marine Services, Inc.’s third recruitment hub in the Philippines.

Located at the heart of the city center, the new Cebu office allows Crossworld to expand its operations and accommodate the continuing growth and demand for maritime manning agencies in the region.  Along with its Iloilo office, Crossworld solidifies its position in the Visayas.

Just like its Iloilo counterpart, Crossworld Cebu will serve as an extension of the Manila Head Office.  Applicants are interviewed and pre-qualified by crewing managers - streamlining the recruitment process.

Present at the opening last July 17th were Crossworld’s President and CEO, Captain Eleazar Diaz; Simos Varias; Senior Crewing Manager, Arnold Mendoza; Director for Human Resources, Jill Reyes; Cebu Branch Manager, Prince Batiancila; directors from the Cebu training centers; existing crew, as well as members of the local press.

After a short speech by Captain Diaz, Father Jerry Matriano officiated the blessing of the hundred square meter office.  A reception with typical Cebuano fare followed and capped off the launch.

Though not in the immediate future, Captain Diaz has expressed interest in expansion further down south in Mindanao.  Such a move will strengthen and complete Crossworld’s presence in all three major island groups of the country.
